Description
The Store Keeper (Tech Division) is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our technical inventory. Unlike general warehousing, this role requires a candidate who understands the sensitivity of electronic components (static electricity, temperature control, and fragile handling). You will be the guardian of our stock, ensuring that every serial number is tracked, every laptop is stored securely, and every accessory is accounted for in our digital database.
What We're Looking For
Tech Literacy: Fundamental knowledge of computer parts (knowing the difference between an SSD and an HDD, or various USB types).
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a warehouse or retail store specifically handling electronics or IT hardware.
Software Proficiency: Experience using inventory management software (like Odoo, Tally, or specialized ERPs) and advanced Excel.
Physical Handling: Ability to handle fragile electronics with care; knowledge of anti-static packaging is a plus.
Attention to Detail: Absolute precision in recording long alphanumeric serial numbers to avoid database errors.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT, Logistics, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
Serialized Tracking: Record and track individual IMEI numbers for phones and Serial Numbers for laptops/CPUs to prevent loss and manage warranties.
Inward/Outward Logistics: Unbox and inspect incoming tech gear for physical damage; verify specifications (RAM, Storage, Processor) against the invoice.
Secure Storage: Organize high-value items in locked, climate-controlled areas to prevent theft and environmental damage.
Kitting & Assembly Support: Prepare "bundles" for the sales team (e.g., pairing a laptop with its specific charger, mouse, and bag).
Inventory Auditing: Conduct weekly "cycle counts" to ensure physical stock perfectly matches the records in the ERP/inventory software.
RMA Management: Process defective items for Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) with manufacturers and track replacement units.
